Emergency services in Luxembourg responded to multiple road accidents in recent hours, with a total of 13 people injured on the Grand Duchy's roads.

Emergency services in Luxembourg were called to several accidents between Friday evening and Saturday morning, resulting in 13 people sustaining injuries on the nation's roads.

One of the most serious incidents occurred shortly before 1am on Saturday, when two cars collided on the A3 motorway between the Berchem service area and Livange. Emergency crews from Luxembourg City, Bettembourg, Reiserbann, and Schifflange attended the scene. Six people were injured, with four taken to hospital for further checks. At present, the A3 is partially closed towards France between the Gasperich interchange and Livange.

On Friday evening, six separate traffic accidents took place in different parts of the country, each resulting in at least one person injured. For example, shortly before 5pm, two cars collided on Rue Hiehl in Junglinster, requiring intervention by emergency teams from Junglinster and Larochette.

About half an hour later, a car crashed on the CR134 between Manternach and Mertert, attended by rescue teams from Mertert and Echternach.

At around 5.45pm, a tractor and a bicycle collided on Route de Bettembourg in Livange, with emergency services from Reiserbann and Dudelange dispatched to the scene.

Almost simultaneously, emergency crews from Luxembourg City and Lintgen were called to Rue des Jardins in Lintgen, where a person was hit by a car.

Later, at 7.34pm, two cars collided on Luxembourg Street in Helmdange.

In another incident at around 4.30am on Saturday morning, a car crashed into a tree on the CR123 between Essen and Cruchten. One person was injured and received treatment from emergency teams from Nommern and Mersch.
