Shortly before 2pm, teams from the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) arrived at the scene along Route des Trois Cantons to combat the blaze, which originated from insulation material on a rooftop. Firefighters worked diligently to prevent the fire from spreading to insulation material on the floor below.
One of the primary challenges was ensuring a sufficient water supply on site. By approximately 3pm, CGDIS teams had the fire under control, and it was largely extinguished. However, some rescue workers remain onsite to prevent reignition.
When the fire first broke out, local police advised residents to keep windows closed. Nearby, a herd of cows was evacuated by their owner as a precautionary measure.
Due to the fire and emergency response efforts, the affected road was temporarily closed to traffic. It was reopened around 3.40pm.
