Most importantly, the new threshold needed for a petition to be discussed in the Chamber has increased from 4,500 to 5,500 signatures.

Submitting a new petition will also require electronic authentication via LuxTrust, GouvID, or eIDAS. The same applies to signing a petition, although this remains optional.

Another update allows petitions to be translated into multiple languages to reach a broader audience. However, they must be submitted in one of the country’s three administrative languages: Luxembourgish, German, or French. An English translation is also permitted.

Finally, the forms for signing a petition on paper can now be found directly on the official petitions website.
