A father who had been accused of sexually abusing his two daughters for years was sentenced to 15 years in a first instance, with five years on probation. To this day, the defendant denies the accusations.
The public prosecutor’s office had requested a prison sentence of 24 years, partially on probation. The conditions included the defendant having to attend therapy, as written down in the verdict.
The court case refers to a time period between 2015 and 2023. The father is accused of having touched his two daughters, aged 9 and 12, between their legs and on their breasts. He also allegedly pushed them to satisfy him orally. Years after they had been the victims of their father’s abuse, the now 19-year-old daughter mustered up the courage to seek out the police.
She made that decision after she found out that her younger sister had also been a victim.
