Specifically, suspected drink-drivers were pulled over in Bascharage, on the A3 and A4 motorways, in Senningerberg, Luxembourg City, Ettelbruck, and Dudelange.
During the checks, five drivers had their licences confiscated due to positive alcohol tests. In two instances, the alcohol levels were below the legal limit of 1.2%, meaning that the motorists were allowed to keep their driving licences.
On Friday evening, a victim in Vallée de la Pétrusse, located in Luxembourg City, had their mobile phone stolen. However, the culprit was swiftly apprehended, and the stolen phone was successfully recovered and returned to the rightful owner. Charges have been filed against the alleged perpetrator.
On Saturday morning, two burglaries were reported in flats, located in Moutfort and Differdange. In addition, unknown culprits broke into cellars located in Bonnevoie-nord and Bonnevoie as well as cars in Capellen and Pétange, resulting in the theft of mobile phones, laptops, handbags, an e-bike, clothing, and various other valuables.
In separate incidents in Schouweiler and Differdange, two parked cars had their windows shattered by unknown culprits.
