On Saturday at around 2:30PM police were alerted of a driver who was verbally abusing other drivers. A breathalyser test came back positive.
Shortly after 9PM a visibly intoxicated woman asked officers for directions in Grevenmacher. She, too, was asked to do a test which confirmed the policemen’s suspicion.
Half an hour later on the same evening, police encountered another drunk driver in Schieren who had parked his car in the middle of the road.
At around 10:40PM an accident occurred in Wiltz. A woman had rolled her car and sustained minor injuries. She, too, had had too much to drink.
A police patrol then spotted a driver who was driving on the wrong side of the road in Belair shortly after midnight. The breathalyser test came back positive.
Lastly, police were in action in Bonnevoie at 5:30AM on Sunday morning. Yet another case of drunk driving.
Police confirmed that in each case the driving license was seized and a provisional driving ban was issued.
