The police managed to track down three individuals suspected of carrying out a burglary near Findel Airport and arrested another culprit in Bereldange.

Police were informed of a burglary at a single-family house in Cité de l’Aéroport, Findel at around 7.30pm on Friday.

Three individuals forced open the balcony door to gain access to the premises. However, thanks to the intervention of the police, they were arrested shortly afterwards. The three suspects were taken to the police station for identification, and further investigations were opened.

Three more burglaries were reported to authorities earlier in the day.

A Bereldange resident reported that an unknown perpetrator broke into his home in Rue Adolphe Weis at around 6am.

A police patrol was sent out and the suspected burglar was apprehended in Rue de Steinsel. He was carrying various stolen goods, which were seized. The man was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office and brought before an examining magistrate in the afternoon.

Another burglary occurred at about 3.30pm in a flat in Rue du Commerce in Mamer. The perpetrator(s) gained access to the flat by pushing open the roller shutters of the back glass door and then breaking the window. Jewellery and cash were stolen. An investigation has been launched.

At around 6.50pm, another burglary was reported on Boulevard du Brill in Cessange, where the cellar of a building was targeted. The perpetrator(s) managed to get into the building and then forced open a cellar door. An investigation was opened.
