The motorway closed for a time in both directions.
According to the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS), a serious accident occurred at around 3.20pm. Three cars collided, leaving six people injured. In addition to numerous ground crews, an emergency helicopter was called in and had to land on the road.
