Cahen also stressed that there was no lack of material whatsoever, all of the country's facilities had enough FFP2 masks and ventilators. Minister of Health Paulette Lenert added that so far, mobile vaccination teams had carried out vaccinations in 28 of the 52 retirement and nursing homes.

The second dose has already been administered in 11 of those 28 facilities. Lenert added that the campaign in retirement and nursery homes currently has a participation rate of 86.7%. The Minister mainly attributes this success to the deployment of mobile vaccination teams. So far, a total of 1,437 people has been vaccinated in retirement and nursing homes.

The National Health Directorate's mobile teams are also visiting care structures for disabled residents. Vaccinations have been carried out in three facilities thus far, with a participation rate of 95.5%.

On a completely different note, MPs also discussed copyright as Luxembourg has to implement the EU copyright directive in 2021. For this reason, MP Laurent Mosar from the Christian Social People's Party asked Minister of the Economy Franz Fayot whether he could reveal anything on the current state of the corresponding draft bill.

Fayot stated that the government wants to find the right balance and in order to do that, his Ministry will make the draft bill available to the public on Wednesday. The text will be posted online, and anyone is encouraged to read it and submit their comments directly via the website.

Fayot stressed that the government wants to make sure that the text is presented to everyone affected by it before it is discussed in the state council and put to a vote in the Chamber of Deputies.
