Scammers have now even gone so far as to pose as the Grand Ducal court, sending out false messages via email inviting the recipients to a charity gala at the palace.

The message claims to be an “official prestige invitation” and attempts to obtain data from the recipients. The Maison du Grand-Duc highlighted the scam and said any official emails from the court and its associates would be sent from an email address ending in @gdl.etat.lu.

In general, the public are advised to exercise caution with such messages and to report any suspicious emails to police.
