Shortly after 6pm on Wednesday evening, a motorcyclist fell and was injured on Route d'Arlon in Strassen. According to the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) bulletin, the emergency medical services (SAMU) was called to the scene alongside rescue crews from Luxembourg City and Mamer.
Earlier that afternoon, at around 5.20pm, firefighters from Mertert and Flaxweiler had already been called out between Potaschbierg and Grevenmacher, where a garden shed had caught fire. Only material damage was reported.
