The emergency services responded to four road accidents and three fires across Luxembourg on Thursday evening.

The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) has reported multiple accidents and fires that occurred over the course of Thursday evening.

The first incident took place at 5.15pm, when a pedestrian was hit by a car on Rue de Belvaux in Esch-sur-Alzette. Paramedics from Esch and Sanem-Differdange were despatched to the scene to treat the injured individual.

Approximately one hour later, two cars collided in the Um Lënster Bierg industrial zone in Junglinster. Local paramedics treated one person injured in the crash.

A further two-vehicle accident was reported on Rue de Tétange in Kayl at around 8.40pm. Paramedics from Dudelange and firefighters from Kayl attended the scene. No injuries were reported.

At 9.23pm, emergency services from Luxembourg City and Niederanven-Schuttrange were called to Rue de la Vallée in Neuhaeusgen, where a car had struck a post. No one was injured in this incident.

In addition to the road accidents, CGDIS teams responded to several fires. At 5.12pm, firefighters from Dudelange and Bettembourg intervened after a balcony caught fire on Rue Marie Carmes-Heffenisch in Dudelange.

Shortly after 8pm, a chimney fire broke out on Rue de la Source in Syren, prompting the response of the Moutfort and Hesperange fire brigades. Finally, shortly before 10pm, a garden shed caught fire on Rue Gaston Barbanson in Dudelange. The blaze was extinguished by local firefighters.
