Police are searching for two unidentified suspects after a burglary turned violent on Monday afternoon in Michelbouch, a locality in the commune of Vichten in north-western Luxembourg. According to initial investigations, the suspects broke into a house on Route de Bissen at around 3pm, where they were confronted by the resident. When the woman attempted to prevent them from escaping, the intruders pushed her aside before leaving the house.
Shortly afterwards, the two individuals exited the house and entered a vehicle parked outside. As the resident tried again to stop them, she was struck by the car and sustained injuries. She was subsequently taken to hospital for medical treatment.
The suspects then fled in a black Audi A6 with German licence plates in the direction of Mertzig. Despite a police search, the individuals remain at large and investigations are ongoing.

On Sunday evening, police in Schifflange were alerted to a man who had reportedly rung multiple doorbells in the area. Upon checking his identity, officers discovered that an outstanding arrest warrant had been issued for him.
The man was later located in Esch, detained on the orders of the public prosecutor, and brought before an investigating judge on Tuesday morning.
On Monday evening, police received a report of a burglary at a residential building in Neudorf, Luxembourg City. The suspects reportedly broke a window and searched several rooms.
In the early hours of Tuesday, an unknown suspect gained entry via a rear entrance to a café on Rue Auguste Charles in Bonnevoie, stole cash, and fled in an unknown direction. Investigations have been launched in both cases.
An investigation was launched after a delivery van was stolen from a car park in Soleuvre. Police received a report at around 6.15pm on Monday that the van had been stolen. Officers immediately began a search operation to locate the missing vehicle.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
