The underground car park, which is property of the State, will be reserved for government employees while their own car park on place Clairefontaine is also being renovated.

The Saint-Esprit car park originally opened in 1985 and had been due for renovations for a while. The works, which were slated to take a year and a half, went well over this timeframe. There are now 550 additional parking spaces, as well as a new, brighter look with every one of the four floors having its own colour. There are larger parking spaces for families as well as 25 EV charging stations and an area for bicycles.

The costs for these works were 7 million euros, while the Clairefontaine renovation will cost 9.5 million. The latter should be finished by the end of 2024, at which point the Saint-Esprit will be reopened to the public.
