Police remind the public that restrictions remain in place for New Year's Eve, and that checks will continue as usual.

New Year's Eve 2020/2021 is a tad different than any other year. The Grand Ducal Police would like to remind everyone that the same rules apply on 31 December than any other day during this lockdown period.

Shops and supermarkets will close their doors at 4pm, and the curfew comes into effect like any other day at 9pm.

Fireworks are banned in most communes.
