All Saints' and All Souls' DayPublic grave blessings cancelled

RTL Today
Ceremonies that were scheduled around the 1st and 2nd November are cancelled.

Ecclesiastics like pastors and deacons will deliver blessings to the graves in every cemetery around All Saints’ Day. However, due to the Covid pandemic, these ceremonies will now take place without the public’s attendance. The time and schedules will also not be made public.

The parish will sound the church bells both on All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day at 12.05 pm for 5 minutes. This will represent a symbol of remembrance for all the departed loved ones and casualties of the pandemic.

Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich will hold a mass in the cathedral on All Souls’ Day in honour of the dead.
