A host of European topics were on the agenda at Wednesday’s meeting in Bucharest, including Romania’s full accession to the Schengen area.
However, the dominant topic was the Russian invasion of Ukraine, just 200 kilometres from the border, and the subsequent impact on Ukraine’s neighbours, which include Romania and Moldova.
