
This will apply to all pupils attending the three primary schools in Schifflange -namely the Albert Wingert, Nelly Stein and Lydie Schmit schools.
A statement published by the municipality of Schifflange on Thursday said that the evolution of infections at the schools had been analysed, with a recommendation to take further preventative measures.
Testing will take place at school premises on Monday, organised by teams affiliated with the National Health Laboratory.
The children will have distance learning on Monday and Tuesday. If they produce a negative test result on Monday, they will be able to return to school on Wednesday. Maisons relais (wraparound care) will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, while affected parents will be eligible to take leave for familial reasons.
