Shortly before noon on Monday, police received a report about an individual ringing the doorbell of a vacant house in Helmsange. The incident aroused the suspicion of a neighbour, who, upon taking out a mobile phone, was threatened by the individual with a sharp object – possibly a knife.

During the ensuing investigation, the suspected perpetrator was located and arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor's office. The individual was brought before an examining magistrate on Tuesday morning. Due to uncooperative behavior toward authorities, the suspect was also fined for resistance against state agents.
