Consumers are advised not to consume these sausages due to a potential risk of salmonella contamination. If you have already consumed the product and present symptoms, it is recommended to seek medical attention.

The affected sausages, sold by the Cobolux brand in a plastic tray, bear an expiry date of 31 January 2024. These specific sausages were available for purchase between 2 January and 10 January in various stores across the country.

Salmonella can cause symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, diarrhoea, fever, and headaches within 6 to 72 hours of consumption. These symptoms may be aggravated in young children, immunocompromised individuals, and the elderly. People who have consumed these products and are suffering from these symptoms are advised to consult a doctor.
