Pharmacy expansion in LuxembourgPotential for eleven new openings in coming years

RTL Today
This development stems from the ongoing adjustment of pharmacy numbers to accommodate the country's growing population, which has steadily increased in recent years.

Plans to expand pharmacy services in Luxembourg indicate the possibility of eleven additional pharmacies opening in the near future.

Under current regulations, Luxembourg permits a total of 121 pharmacies. However, at present, only 101 are operational, leaving room for further expansion.

Minister of Health Martine Deprez disclosed this information in response to a parliamentary question posed by MP Mars Di Bartolomeo of the Luxembourg Socialist Workers’ Party (LSAP).

According to the minister’s statement, nine new pharmacies are slated to open soon or are currently in the establishment phase, suggesting the potential for eleven more to follow suit.
