The SNCB (National Railway Company of Belgium) has announced that train services will be adjusted according to the impact of the upcoming strike, with updated schedules to be published 24 hours in advance. The strike will be in effect from 23 to 31 March.
Passengers intending to travel between Belgium and Luxembourg are advised by CFL to check the official website or app for the latest information before making their journey.
On the SNCB website the National Railway Company stated: “The independent rail union (METISP-Protect) has decided to take strike action against certain measures included in the coalition agreement, despite the consultation meetings that have been taking place since last week with the federal ministers concerned. SNCB-NMBS, Infrabel and HR Rail consider these actions to be unacceptable, irresponsible and disproportionate. They deplore the consequences for the 900,000 passengers transported every day.”
