The gathering is scheduled for 4.30pm at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Luxembourg City, with additional space provided in a tent to be set up in the cathedral’s inner courtyard. A prelude featuring chants and prayers will begin at 3pm in the tent.
Due to the limited number of seats available, the Archdiocese has implemented an online registration system. The registration form will be accessible from 9am on Tuesday, 3 September, until 5pm on Thursday, 5 September. If the number of applicants exceeds the available spots, a draw will be conducted to allocate places.
According to the Cathol.lu website, “On 9 September 2024, all applicants will receive an email informing them whether they have been selected.”
The Pope’s visit to Luxembourg will include a reception at Findel Airport in the morning, several audiences at the Grand Ducal Palace, a ceremony at Luxembourg City’s Cercle, a Popemobile procession through the capital, and the event at Notre-Dame Cathedral.
