
On Tuesday evening, police conducted checks targeting e-scooters in Ettelbruck and Diekirch, during which one vehicle was found not to comply with technical regulations.
Between 4pm and 6.20pm, officers inspected a total of 28 drivers and their e-scooters. In one case, the vehicle did not meet technical requirements concerning maximum speed. The e-scooter in question had a potential top speed of 100 km/h and was subsequently seized on the orders of the public prosecutor's office.
On Tuesday night, police received reports of an individual in Gilsdorf who had broken into a car parked on Rue des Près and stolen a sum of cash. A patrol launched a search and was able to apprehend a suspect who was found in possession of the stolen money. The suspect was uncooperative and later refused to leave the police station. As the individual appeared to be intoxicated, police placed them in custody overnight. An investigation has been opened.
