
Police in Esch-sur-Alzette responded to two separate incidents on Monday night.
The first occurred on Rue Michel Rodange, where officers on patrol noticed an individual behaving suspiciously upon their arrival. Suspecting drug-related activity, the officers conducted a search and discovered a small quantity of hashish. The drugs were confiscated and the individual received a fine.
Later the same night, police were called to a petrol station on Rue d’Audun to deal with a person causing a disturbance. After being restrained, the individual proceeded to insult the attending officers. Due to a state of heavy intoxication and the assessed risk they posed to themselves and others, the person was taken into police custody following a medical evaluation. A fine was issued for the verbal insults.
