According to police, they were alerted at around 6.15pm on Thursday evening to a red BMW on the B7 road. While overtaking on the bridge over the Sûre valley, the car reportedly slightly collided with an oncoming vehicle. The driver then fled the scene without checking the damage.
Later, the BMW was found abandoned further along the B7 near the Ettelbruck exit. The driver was nowhere to be seen.
Police are therefore seeking witnesses to the accident or further information on the driver involved.
