At around 1.30pm on Wednesday, police received a report of a fight in Ettelbruck. According to initial information, two unidentified men had searched a vehicle and stolen several valuables before fleeing towards Grand-Rue.
The vehicle's owner followed the pair on foot and eventually caught up with them near Rue Pierre Wiser. When the victim attempted to detain one of the men, a physical altercation broke out. The suspect ultimately managed to escape.
The victim injured his ankle during the incident and required hospital treatment. While fleeing, the suspected perpetrator threw a bag containing the victim's personal belongings to the ground. The bag was later recovered.
During the search for the two men, police also found two rucksacks, one of which was linked to one of the suspects.
The investigation remains ongoing.
