The incident took place when the motorcyclist attempted to overtake a lorry around 00.30am, before colliding with a car. The rescue services were called but could only determine the man’s death.
The police had already issued an appeal for witnesses immediately after the accident. According to initial investigations, several drivers had stopped at the scene of the accident on 18 June. So far, however, none of these individuals have come forward to the police.
The drivers concerned are asked to get in touch with the traffic police, either by calling 244 17 5200 or by writing an e-mail to upr@police.etat.lu.
