The Luxembourg police have reported a series of incidents that took place between Sunday night and Monday night, involving car break-ins, muggings, armed robbery, and burglaries across several locations in the country.
On Sunday night, multiple vehicles were broken into in Luxembourg City, specifically on Rue d’Anvers and Rue des États-Unis. Following a manhunt, authorities identified a suspect, and an investigation has since been initiated with a formal complaint filed.
On Monday afternoon at around 3.30pm, a pedestrian was mugged near Montée de Clausen in Luxembourg City. The assailant approached the victim from behind, grabbing their handbag and causing them to fall, resulting in minor injuries. Police described the perpetrator as a male aged between 30 and 35 years old, with black hair and a beard, wearing a grey hoodie and dark trousers.
Additionally, three separate burglaries were reported on Monday night – in Bettembourg, Roodt-Syre, and Luxembourg City – where various valuables and cash were stolen. In Sandweiler, thieves made off with a complete set of summer wheels from an underground garage, while in Bridel, a burglar broke into a garage but ultimately left without taking anything.
