
In 246 cases, the public prosecutor’s office resorted to expelling the perpetrators. The majority of incidents involved couples engaged in arguments.
Notably, it was observed that 56% of repeat offenders failed to attend scheduled therapy appointments.
However, existing legislation does not stipulate any penalties for such non-compliance, with the matter merely being reported to the public prosecutor’s office.
These figures were presented by Minister of Equality between Women and Men Taina Bofferding to the relevant parliamentary committee on Thursday.
