Police conducted coordinated raids on Thursday at the home and dental practice of a surgeon in southern Luxembourg as part of a major fraud investigation.
The operation on 4 December 2025 was carried out under a warrant issued by an examining magistrate. A judicial investigation has been opened into alleged forgery, use of forged documents, and subsidy fraud.
According to initial findings, the dentist is suspected of creating and billing for fictitious medical services in order to improperly obtain reimbursements from the National Health Fund (CNS).
During the searches, authorities seized a significant volume of documents and digital storage media. Analysts stated that reviewing this evidence will be crucial to determining the precise nature of the alleged offences, assessing the financial damages, and establishing legal responsibility.
The public prosecutor’s office emphasised that the presumption of innocence fully applies to the suspect until a final court ruling is made.
