
A large-scale police operation in Luxembourg City led to a total of 46 offences being recorded.
Officers issued 44 warnings subject to fines, with the majority related to speeding. 20 motorists were fined for exceeding the speed limit, while 4 drivers received fines due to irregularities with their vehicle documentation, such as technical inspection certificates or tax stickers.
Police also reported that 11 drivers were caught using their mobile phones behind the wheel, and one motorist was fined for running a red light. In addition, eight drivers were penalised for obstructive parking.
In two more serious cases, officers issued fines: one for a severe speeding violation, and another for a vehicle that was uninsured, improperly registered, and had unsecured cargo.
