StrassenPolice issue 28 fines for phone use while driving

On Tuesday afternoon, police conducted a traffic check in Strassen, specifically focusing on distracted driving.

As a result, 28 drivers were found in violation of the Highway Code for using their phones at the wheel. Each was issued a €250 fine and lost four points on their driving licence.

In addition to these infractions, one driver was found without a valid tax sticker, while another had failed to properly register their vehicle.

Further violations included a motorist running a red light and another driving with a child not properly seated in a children’s car seat. Both of these offences resulted in a €145 fine and the loss of two points on the drivers’ licences.
