During the early hours of Saturday, a driver collided with three parked cars and a flower pot on Grand Rue in Grevenmacher.

Shortly afterwards, police officers located the driver at a nearby bar. Despite displaying visible signs of intoxication, the driver refused to undergo a breathalyser test, leading to the immediate confiscation of their driving licence.

Further incidents occurred throughout the night, with two additional driving licences being confiscated in Binsfeld and Waldhof.

In addition, the police, acting under the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, conducted alcohol checks at three different locations in Luxembourg City between 11pm on Friday evening and 3am on Saturday morning. The locations included Rue d’Esch, Boulevard Grande-Duchesse Charlotte, and Neudorf.

A total of 150 drivers were checked, resulting in seven individuals being found to have exceeded the permissible alcohol limit. One driving licence was confiscated.
