Late on Thursday afternoon, two cars collided in Schouweiler. One of the drivers was found to be under the influence and lost their licence as a result. Three people were taken to hospital for check-ups following the crash.
Later on, police noticed a car zigzagging across the Route de Luxembourg in Bereldange. When they pulled the vehicle over, they realised the driver was drunk, and issued a provisional driving ban.
A similar incident occurred on Avenue de la Liberté in the capital overnight, where another intoxicated driver was caught driving erratically and stopped just short of colliding with a police vehicle. The driver had their licence confiscated following a positive breathalyser test.
Finally, yet another motorist was spotted driving dangerously in the same area some hours later. This transgression resulted in a provisional driving ban.
