The police conducted a major traffic check focused on motorcyclists last weekend.

The check took place on the N12 between Buderscheid and Fond de Heiderscheid, with the operation running from 10am to 12pm.

A total of 22 offences were recorded, with eight of these relating to papers that were not in order, and one motorist unable to present a valid driving licence.

Several motorcyclists were fined during the operation, including one who had an illegible number plate and two others who were missing mandatory rear reflectors.

Two fines were issued for defective lights and another for improper tyres. Four motorcyclists were also caught wearing non-approved helmets, while two motorists received fines due to issues with their exhaust pipes. Lastly, one individual was fined for having made unauthorised modifications to their motorbike.
