The police were alerted to the incident around 5.30pm on Monday. The drunk driver had caused material damage to a car in rue Deich while manoeuvring his own vehicle. He later escaped without reporting the accident.
A police patrol was able to stop the culprit soon after. Since the alcohol test came back positive, the driving licence was revoked and a fine was awarded.
