A traffic accident involving a police vehicle occurred on Friday evening at approximately 8.20pm at the intersection of Côte d’Eich and Rue des Glacis in Luxembourg City.

The incident happened as police officers, responding to an emergency call with lights and sirens activated, were travelling down Côte d’Eich toward Eich. Their vehicle collided with another car that was turning from the Eich direction onto Rue des Glacis. The impact occurred on the passenger side of one vehicle and the driver’s side of the other.

Following the collision, the police car struck a lamppost before coming to a stop. Both officers sustained minor injuries and were transported to the hospital for evaluation. Preliminary reports indicate the driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
