Police are looking for the driver of a light-coloured van, displaying a company logo of unknown description.
Said van was travelling from Heiderscheid towards Niederfeulen and overtook a vehicle carrying a crane. A second car right behind the van also overtook the vehicle with the crane. Both carried on towards Niederfeulen.
The driver of the car has contacted the police. The driver of the van is yet to do so. Police are also calling on the people driving behind the crashed car to get in touch. They should contact police in Turelbach on 244-85-1000 or via email (police.turelbaach@police.etat.lu).
What happened?
A driver lost control of her car and crashed into a tractor which was travelling in the opposite direction. The accident happened during an overtaking manoeuvre in the opposite lane.
The four injured were first treated on the scene by first responders before they were taken to hospital. Regrettably, a 15-year-old girl succumbed to her injuries.
Crime scene technicians were immediately called and the road was closed for traffic.
