First two hours freePlace des Martyrs car park reopens on Monday 17 March

RTL Today
After the car park Martyrs burned down in 2019, it was fully renovated and it is reopening on 17 March 2025.

The amount of parking spots has decreased from 447 to 361, because the individual spaces were made bigger. There are 12 spaces for electric vehicles as well as 12 spaces for disabled people. Nine parking spots are reserved for women, while 32 spaces have been added for bikes. The total renovations cost €28.5 million.

Every visitor can benefit from parking for free for the first two hours of their stay. They are automatically deducted at the checkout. This campaign aims to simplify the access to Luxembourg’s train station.

Press release

Luxembourg City Council would like to inform the public that as part of the reopening of the Martyrs car park on Monday 17 March 2025 at 2pm, it will be offering the first two hours of parking (Monday-Sunday) to users of the Martyrs car park until 31 December 2025. When paying at the automatic checkouts, the amount corresponding to two hours’ parking will be automatically deducted from the total amount to be paid.

With this measure, the City of Luxembourg aims to further promote trade and ensure the accessibility of the station district and its establishments, which offer customers a wide range of products and services.
