Call for actionPharmacists' Association advocates for healthcare reforms

RTL Today
The Luxembourg Association of Pharmacists has issued a comprehensive white paper, with the aim of guiding policymakers. The document presents a series of recommendations to address the challenges currently facing the healthcare sector.

A primary proposition from the association is the termination of quotas amid the ongoing issue of drug shortages. The pharmacists are advocating for a stronger focus on preventive measures. They are also calling for improved monitoring of treatments and therapies. The association emphasises the need for pharmacies to be recognised as authoritative centres of expertise regarding medicines.

Another significant point raised in the white paper is the need for a redefinition of payment structures within the pharmacy profession. This proposed change is intended to address current imbalances and promote fair remuneration for the services provided by pharmacists.

The Association of Pharmacists has compiled these recommendations with the hope of instigating changes in the healthcare sector.
