There's a new price drop in town, and a significant one at that. Filling up your tank will cost less at Luxembourg petrol stations starting this Saturday, with some fuel types seeing a difference of over 10 cents compared to the start of the week.
The new prices announced by the Ministry of the Economy mean the main fuels are dropping for the second time this week.
After already falling by more than 7 cents on Thursday, diesel is dropping again to €1.73 per litre. That is a decrease of 3.7 cents, bringing the cost of a 50-litre tank to €86.50. It was still priced at €1.84 on Wednesday.
SP95 sees an even bigger reduction, with its price falling by 5.1 cents. At the pump, it will now cost €1.704 per litre, meaning a 50-litre tank will cost €85.20. On Wednesday, it was still selling for €1.814.
SP98, the most expensive fuel, will now cost €1.814 per litre, after dropping 5.2 cents.
Heating oil will also become cheaper, dropping to €1.166 per litre (down 4 cents).
