
A salesperson reported the theft of an e-scooter on Rue du Curé in Diekirch, after the owner had briefly left it unattended in front of the store, at around 7pm.
The police managed to locate the suspect with the e-scooter around 9pm in the train station area in Ettelbruck, whereupon the person was taken to the police station and issued a fine by the public prosecutor’s office.
The police also report the theft of a necklace in the smoking area on platforms 10/11 at Luxembourg City’s central railway station on Saturday, at around 9.20pm. The suspect started a conversation with the victim before ripping the necklace off their neck. The victim managed to hold on to the necklace, though it was damaged in the process.
So far, the police have not able to locate the suspect, who had fled the scene. Later on, the victim noticed that their phone was also missing. Investigations have been started.
