
Shortly after 7pm on Tuesday, a house on Rue d’Asselborn in Troisvierges caught fire. Reporters on the scene confirmed that the blaze was brought under control within an hour, with fire brigades monitoring the situation to avoid a rekindling of the flames. One person sustained severe burn injuries and was rushed to the hospital as a consequence.
The road had to be closed off for the duration of the firefighting operations. According to emergency service reports, units – including a rescue helicopter – were deployed from Troisvierges, Wiltz, and Wincrange.
