A person was found dead in a backyard on Rue de Strasbourg in Luxembourg City's Gare district on Saturday. Emergency medical personnel had initially been called to the scene because a person was said to be lying on the ground, but they could only pronounce the person dead upon arrival.

Both the Grand Ducal Firal and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) and police confirmed the incident following an enquiry.

No further details, including the cause of death, have been released at this stage.
