At around 9.20pm on Tuesday, a fire broke out in a block of flats on Rue de Dublin in Mamer, with flames quickly spreading from one floor to the next. Despite efforts from emergency services from Mamer, Luxembourg City, and Kehlen, one person reportedly died at the scene.
Police on Wednesday morning confirmed that a body was recovered from the building, with the prosecutor’s office later announcing the launch of an investigation.
