One of the men drew a knife during the altercation, which took place in the Kinnekswiss municipal park around 3pm, and wounded the other before running away.
Witnesses alerted the police. The victim was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment, and was later said to be in a stable condition.
On Monday, police located the perpetrator and took the man into custody by order of the public prosecutor’s office. The individual was due to appear in court on Tuesday.
