Aside from a violent mugging in the capital, the Grand Ducal police reported further incidents with drunken agitators, the arrest of a suspected drug dealer, and car break-ins on Saturday night.

On Saturday afternoon, police were called to Rue Bender in Luxembourg City as a drunken individual caused a ruckus after being refused entry to a bar. A brawl had subsequently broken out between the individual and the bouncer. Police took the agitator to the station and filed a complaint.

That same afternoon, two people were assaulted and mugged on Avenue de la Gare in the capital. One of the victims suffered a head injury while the perpetrators fled with a phone and a wallet. A complaint was filed.

Around 2.30am on Sunday, police were called to a bar in Rumelange after a man threatened guests with a truncheon. Officers at the scene confiscated the weapon, put the man under arrest, and informed the prosecutor’s office about the incident.

Police reports further indicate that two other intoxicated individuals were placed in an arrest cell in Luxembourg City overnight. Officers also arrested a person carrying 170 grams of hashish. They seized the drugs, a phone, and cash money. The suspected dealer was presented to an examining magistrate on Sunday.

Finally, several car break-ins were reported in Dudelange overnight. In each case, a window was smashed and valuables stolen from inside the vehicles.
