A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near the Cloche d’Or shopping centre on Tuesday, prompting the closure of Boulevard Raiffeisen to traffic, according to Luxembourg police.
The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) confirmed around 5pm that two people sustained injuries in the incident.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Boulevard Raiffeisen and Boulevard Kockelscheuer. In response, authorities have closed Boulevard Raiffeisen in the direction of the A3 motorway until further notice.
Police are advising motorists to avoid the area, as traffic congestion is expected to build up quickly.
