Emergency services from the capital attended the incident, which occurred at around 1pm on Wednesday. Reports said the pedestrian received treatment at the scene before being taken to hospital for further checks.
At 2.15pm, two cars were involved in a collision in Kayl, leaving one person injured. The Esch-sur-Alzette ambulance and Kayl fire fighters were deployed to the site of the crash.
